Write a poem about Thanksgiving. Your poem can be about what giving thanks means to you, or it can be about the food, or it can be about Indians and Pilgrims.
Your poem must follow the following form:
3 Stanzas
4 lines per stanza
Rhyme scheme ABAB CDCD EFEF
For example:
Thanksgiving leaves crunch;
The west-wind blows in cool.
Families gather in a bunch
Children act a fool.
The bird goes in the oven hot,
Plucked clean and basted juicy.
The gravy steams out of the pot;
Let's eat the golden goosey!
Assembled 'round the table set
The dinner makes us happy.
After dinner we soon forget
And take a November nappy.

An indescribable moment,
A joyful tone set,
Everyone with their family peers,
Be happy and grateful for whose here,
Because we don't know who won't be able to give thanks next year,
ThanksGiving is a loving time,
A special moment to cherish,
Be grateful for all you have,
And giving thanks to the one above is what it's all about!
I've done it already. Laptop died on me before saving so I had to do it when I got back to an charger.

I ate too much Thanksgiving day
But I don't give a hoot.
I slurped a pile of dressing,
Gobbled down a turkey thigh,
Dribbled messy cranberries
Devoured some pumpkin pie.
Within me on this special day
It's a thankful heart that beats.
For all the things that I enjoy
But mainly for the eats.
I wake up Thanksgiving morning

I patiently wait for noon
with the thought of feasting soon.
Meanwhile, I talk with family
Grandma, Auntie, Sheryl, and Tammy.
We talk, hoping it will kill time,
eating on chocolates that aren't worth a dime.
The food is about ready and we're hungry
I start with stuffing, then go to the turkey.
We all talk and laugh at the dinner table,
with friends giving our family a good label.
Finally, our auntie comes with the pie.
Giving everyone a piece leaving the tray to lie,
At the end we reflect on the day,
the family is happy, everything is going my way!
